Michael Knapton Very good album, excellent musicianship. Love the combination of male and female vocals. Lots of different styles from quiet piano songs to heavy guitar riffs. Excellent, highly recommended. Favorite track: Leave.

Track Name: Abducted!
On a brisk spring morning in early may
(To get a head start on my day)
I walk through my field, intent to survey
(If it’s time to start harvesting hay)
But as I go, I notice something quite strange
(A huge circle’s been carved in my way)
Confused, I glance up and exclaim
(As a flying saucer’s not far away)
I turn to run but before I can get far
A beam drags me up to the stars!

A ship came and took me
Away from my farm
I’m not sure if they
Mean me any harm
I expect to be tested
Examined and probed
And hope then, after that
They’ll send me back home

I woke up on some kind of surgery bed
(With weird tools shoved into my head)
Light in my eyes, began to panic and sweat
(Is this real or am I somehow dead?)
I heard something speak, I couldn’t understand
(Any word or sound that it said)
I try to scream but before I make a sound
They drop a large bug in my mouth!

A ship came and took me
Away from my farm
I’m not sure if they
Mean me any harm
I expect to be tested
Examined and probed
And hope then, after that
They’ll send me back home

(Solo - Pearce)

A ship came and took me
Away from my farm
I’m not sure if they
Mean me any harm
I expect to be tested
Examined and probed
And hope then, after that
They’ll send me back

A ship came and took me
Away from my farm
I’m quite sure now that they
Mean me and you harm
I was tested, examined
Violated and probed
They wiped my mind
And sent me back home
Track Name: The Tunnel
(Solo - Green)

Some days are harder than others
Some days you can't get out of bed
Some days it feels like no one cares
But it's all in your head

At times it seems pointless to try
Those thoughts have invaded us all
To be told each day that it's wrong
When all you want is a friend

When the world seems too dark
And there's no end to the tunnel in view
When the lighter refuses to spark
Someone's wanting to guide you through
just keep going...

(Solo - Backus & Pearce)

One day your hazed mind will clear
And you'll wonder what made you so sad
The weight released from your ankles
There's reason to live

Now the world doesn't seem so dark
And the tunnel's behind out of view
Though your time there will leave its mark
Someone's wanting to be there for you
And you've made it...
Track Name: Modern Romance
5:00pm
I'm waiting for the train
She stands there
And all my thoughts drain
Professional woman
With a confident stance
Glanced at me
I was stuck in a trance

I want, she's got
I need, she sees
Panic stricken
She moves, I'm smitten

Approaching me calmly
She walks right on up
And with a look meant to confuse
Asks if I wear sensible shoes
I flash a nervous smile and stutter my name
She hands me her card and saunters away

Late night, thinking
I call shaking
Panic stricken
Phone rings...

She's like a cold wind
On a mid-summer day
I never thought I'd meet a girl
Who'd make me feel this way
She's awakened something deep inside
I think I'll take a chance
And dive into this brave new world
Of modern romance

(Solo - Green)

She's like a cold wind
On a mid-summer day
I never thought I'd meet a girl
Who'd make me feel this way
She's awakened something deep inside
I think I'll take a chance
If she'll have me I'll be happy
In this modern romance
Track Name: Leave
(Solo - Tocher & Backus)

I came in to this world afraid
Of what life might turn out to be
But as I lay there in your arms
You said you'd always be there for me

As time went by
I learned there were reasons to cry
Still you took my hand
Helped me to understand

How to be kind
Even to those who'd wish me ill
To live my life
And let others do as they will
These things I strive for
And try to live by still

(Solo - Green)

Years passed
And with time things changed
You tried to defy your age
Found you needed more
Our simple life was not enough
Made promises you didn't keep
Cue exit left of stage

I trusted you, looked up to you
Modelled myself after you
Say your promised land's just around the bend
But what more do you need?
You looked at yourself as someone else
And cast aside all you once stood by
Look in the mirror, hate what you see
So what do you think of me?

Now I've learned how to hide away
Convincing myself everything's okay
Please leave me before I care

I can't feel what I once did
Try as I might, that's how it's been
Your lies left scars no one can mend
I hide in my mind, can't do this again

(Solo - Pearce)

As time goes by
I find more reasons to cry
No one to hold my hand
Help me to understand why

Leave me, set me free
Live what life you'll lead
Spare me your sympathy
Before it's something that I need

Track Name: Behind The Glass
Alone, confused, and afraid
Six feet under, now it's too late
Wasted the time I was given here
One last tear rolls down my face

My mind is still aware
Of my body deprived of air
My soul looks down
As two hollow eyes stare
Life drained from the physical
Ghostly form watching still
If there ever was a God
It seems torment is his skill

Cursed to roam this plane forever
No passage to a Hell or to a Heaven
I was nothing in the land of the living
And remain so in the land of the dead
Condemned to an endless purgatory
Just conscious enough to feel time pass
A frosted window to a lifelong story
Promise of release taunts me
From behind the glass

In my life I did nothing, affected nothing
I was shallow and vain
No salvation in the afterlife
No pits of eternal flame

I am forsaken in this existence
Among others who share my fate
No voice to cry for help
I can't hear what they say

Cursed to roam this plane forever
No passage to a Hell or to a Heaven
I was nothing in the land of the living
And remain so in the land of the dead
Condemned to an endless purgatory
Just conscious enough to feel time pass
A frosted window to a lifelong story
Promise of release taunts me
From behind the glass
